You understand your child better than anybody in this world. So when they appear more silent than usual, are battling anxiety or hesitating to open up, it’s only natural to wonder how you can best support them.
At SearchLight, children and young people are empowered to speak in whatever ways feel natural. Through play based sessions with skilled and experienced children’s counsellors, children aged 5 and up are able to find the freedom to communicate sentiments that are otherwise hard to articulate. Families looking for children’s counselling Surrey want a compassionate path that puts children at ease from day one.
Before the counselling starts, parents or carrers meet with the experts to discuss key information about their child and concerns. This assists in tailoring a personalised program for upcoming sessions. By providing support early, SearchLight empowers children to have emotional confidence, to navigate difficult emotions, and feel safe in a space designed to make them feel heard, valued and understood.
